What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-ray Technician position at FMC Health?
FMC Health is seeking X-ray Technicians to join our team. X-ray Technicians are responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, as well as preparing patients for these procedures and maintaining the necessary equipment. The X-ray Technician is also responsible for ensuring the safety of patients and colleagues during the imaging process and maintaining accurate records of the procedures performed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating imaging equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and explaining the procedure
- Maintaining and troubleshooting imaging equipment
- Ensuring patient safety during the imaging process
- Maintaining accurate records of the procedures performed
- Communicating with other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current X-ray Technician certification or state licensure
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and positioning techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
- Physical ability to lift patients and perform other duties as required
