Job Description
To provide support and technical advice on capital adequacy-related matters, including assistance with determining optimal capital levels and related regulatory reporting and disclosures- Compiles and analyses capital information across the business to asses and monitor the utilization of financial resources in line with approved policies and frameworks
- Calculating and reporting on the risk adjusted metrics including ROE, RAROC and NIACC to assist management with allocation of capital across the business units.
- Prepares and facilitates capital training initiatives and producing relevant material.
- Gathering and summarising critical insights and delivering presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Engages with executives and senior stakeholders, as well as, Treasury, Risk, Finance, Strategy, Internal Audit, Data and IT, Bank Secretariat and the relevant business units.
- Manages the Banks Onsite visits.
- Managing queries
- Ensures an effective and quality investor relations program.
- Prepares the investor presentation and the road show program
- Identifies investors to target and identifies events that should be attended.
- Builds and updates a relevant and comprehensive database of investors.
- Prepares FRM Committee Pack.
- Updates and improves the FRM Dashboard in terms of the information and analysis contained in the report.
- Provides advisory and analytical solutions for capital adequacy and optimization.
- Provides capital forecasts on RWA usage and capital plans.
- Compiles and manage capital forecasts to aid the business to assess risk and opportunities in the business's capital sustainability and funding adequacy
- Advises on impact of RWA and capital management potentially affecting the business
- Ensures proactive management of capital
- Participate in the annual stress testing process and coordinate input into the process
- Participates in the annual stress testing process and coordinate input into the process
- Leads the Bank’s supervisory review process on ICAAP.
- Timely submission and presentation of the ICAAP documents to the relevant committees, Board and Bank
- Performs peer analysis of capital adequacy for local peer group and impact on the Bank’s capital management and buffer setting.
- Assesses the impact of regulatory changes on capital.
- Responds to proposed directives
- Provides advisory services on risk and capital management and regulations
- Represents the business on any Basel Regulatory Framework Task Groups.
- Participates in the development of business overarching, consolidated Risk Appetite Framework
- Analyses and provides advisory services on risk and capital management and regulations
- Ensures adherence to the risk framework of the bank
- Manages the capital management’ risk and control environment effectively including the Capital Management Framework and policies review and update
- Ensures audit queries kept within set thresholds
- Responds to audit queries in a timely manner
- Coordinates documentation audit exercise within section
