JOB TITLE: Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales
1. Communicates daily sales goals to staff.
2. Ensures follow-up of company sales programs.
Financial/Administrative
1. Prepares and issues banks, verifies funds, makes daily deposits and prepares daily
reports.
2. Ensures that daily payroll goals are met.
3. Follows all government regulations.
4. Daily paperwork completed accurately.
Human Resources
1. Hires and trains staff according to company standards.
2. Acts as coach and role model for staff.
3. Reviews employees' performance at least twice a year.
4. Ensures proper communication to staff and immediate supervisor.
Operations
1. Supervises staff, directing them on the floor.
2. Interacts with guests, ensuring total guest satisfaction.
3. Ensures that food quality is maintained to company standards during shifts.
4. Ensures that restaurant is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
5. Ensures that company safety guidelines are followed and corrects sub-standard
conditions.
6. Follows company security procedures at all times.
7. Cooperates with management by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Constant (more than 2/3 of the time) walking, talking, hearing and seeing.
2. Frequent (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) standing, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling,
back and wrist rotation and talking.
3. Occasional (up to 1/3 of the time) sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying, pushing,
pulling, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and
operating controls.
4. Frequent reading, writing and reasoning.
5. Occasional basic math calculations.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
1. Works indoors and outdoors, with frequent exposure to odors.
2. Occasional exposure to stairs, heat, cold, temperature, moisture change and noise
and vibration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Outgoing and pleasant personality and the desire to serve people.
2. Good communication skills and the ability to speak and understand English.
3. Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
4. Willingness to follow directions and learn.
5. High school diploma and two years previous restaurant management experience or
a four year degree from a foodservice/hospitality program.
