POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Cocktail Server, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests attending banquets, parties, and special events. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of cocktails and beverages will contribute to the success of our events and leave a lasting impression on our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Provide outstanding and personalized customer service to banquet guests by taking drink orders, suggesting cocktails, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mixed drinks, wine, and beer, in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Familiarize yourself with the banquet menu, including drink offerings and special promotions, to make recommendations and answer guest questions about food and beverages
- Ensure all orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled, checking for special requests or dietary restrictions and ensuring the correct garnishes are used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar, serving stations, and beverage storage areas, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the banquet team, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient and smooth service. Communicate any guest concerns or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Actively promote additional beverages, specials, and dessert options to increase revenue and enhance the guest experience
- Adhere to all state and local alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible alcohol service and checking identification to verify the legal drinking age
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Assist in setup and cleanup of banquet events as needed

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Previous experience as a server in a banquet or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer is essential
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
- Responsible beverage service certification is a plus
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment with high call volume

LANGUAGE SKILLS
