About you:
To support our growth, we’re looking for a Food Educator to lead one of our flagship locations in Seattle, WA. We have 10 flagship teaching kitchens around the globe and typically engage with more than 30K people a year through our food classes.
In the Food Educator role, you will manage the teaching kitchen space and team, which involves teaching classes to our client’s employees, their customers, and community partners. You’ll also manage team members that support the program locally. In addition to taking the lead in this teaching kitchen, you will partner with local, regional and global teams to align on objectives and key results, working alongside the global Program Manager; other Food Educator; Marketing, Communication and Engagement; digital production team members; and culinary operators, to collaborate on class development and promotional activities. This role partners with the client’s local, regional and global team directly and shares performance metrics and insights with these sponsors.
The great things you’ll do:
Teach onsite, online, and a hybrid of these culinary/food classes according to the course curriculum.
Provide food experiences for team building that fosters connection within the teams and with the Food Program ethos.
Provide guidance and encouragement to the attendees and build a strong sense of community around food on your campus.
Adapt creative instructional methods to engage students in the learning process both onsite, online, and in a hybrid environment.
Own the local delivery of the program through the programming (topics, scheduling), the setup of the Teaching Kitchen, the supplies, the handouts, and any other dimension that ensures a meaningful and fun experience that builds their confidence in the kitchen.
Work with the regional Food Program Manager to schedule a quarterly syllabus that touches all the subjects of the program (basic skills, menu planning, sustainability, etc.)
Support the Marketing, Communications, and Engagement team to promote and communicate effectively on your program.
What we look for in the perfect candidate:
3-4 year degree in one of the following areas: culinary, nutrition, food science, hospitality, business administration.
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a culinary setting.
At least 2 years of direct management experience (staff management, budget management).
Experience in a technologically advanced setting.
Work experience in a multi-unit or international, matrix organization.
Passion in wellness, sustainability and sustainable food practices.
Has a background in multiple cuisines and an understanding of healthy, plant-forward food.

Salary : $69,000 - $87,300
