What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at Food Management Search?
Major and established brand name company is looking for a Facilities Manager to help them meet the demands of their customers across the country. This positions will be onsite in the Indianapolis, IN area in a manufacturing plant and is primarily on 1st shift. The position will report to the Engineering Manager, In this role will oversee the daily direction and management of the site’s utilities infrastructure: ammonia refrigeration, electrical distribution, steam, water, and wastewater pretreatment systems. Will be the site technical expert for all utilities-related equipment and processes. Additionally, will manage all facilities staff (stationary engineers and general maintenance) and external contractors and oversee the planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance and repair work through the Facilities Maintenance Planner. You Will:
- Enforce site safety, environmental, and GMP rules and regulations.
- Direct all aspects of building operations including maintenance, repairs, and renovations within the department budget.
- Develop the Facilities Maintenance and Reliability program.
- Lead our PSM and RMP Programs in partnership with EHS Team.
- Develop and update SOPs, operating and training manuals for the facilities maintenance dept.
- Define departmental and individual goals, refining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to create common goals and unity of efforts.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of facilities/maintenance management experience.
- 1 years of ammonia refrigeration experience.
Ability to flex work hours, including to provide off-hours support
