Food Safety Specialist - K-12 Schools

We are seeking a Food Safety Specialist to work with current customer school districts in the state of Delaware and bordering PA county school kitchens delivering a School Food Service Safety and Kitchen Sanitation Program. Who we seek:

• Experienced Food Service Manager with detail-orientation. HACCP knowledge a plus.
• Ability in performing group trainings, coaching and educating in small and large groups in a pleasant manner.
• Position will require certification as a ServSafe Instructor after thorough training and coaching.
• An independent, professional with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• An individual who wants to be part of a growing organization -- strong, stable growth.
• Light equipment troubleshooting and installation skills, as well as working in and around a school kitchen and dish machine environment. Comfort with tools.
• Excellent driving record for use in company vans on school properties.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.

Each Specialist follows a nationally designed food safety audit and education program along with materials and supplies as part of a routed visit. This is a teaching/problem solving and customer service position. No sales involved.

This is an independent, daily "road-warrior" position and home-based around school schedules. All field people in our organization are in constant communication and work closely across our Mid-Atlantic Territory.

Work hours are Monday through Friday 7 to 3:30. Clients are visited on a route schedule every month in Delaware. Weekends and evenings are off with the exception of annual Industry Conference.

The Compensation for this full-time position will include salary, company vehicle for business use, business credit card, cell phone and uniform items. Healthcare (HSA) and Dental is available as a shared expense. Vacation and matching 401K are part of our long-term commitment to each other.

Salary is $22.00/hour.
