An integral member of the Corporate Marketing team, the Corporate Events Coordinator works cross functionally to support the company’s most strategic corporate and demand generation events. The Event Coordinator should have some experience supporting functional responsibilities including event planning, event task tracking to completion, attendee registration, onsite logistics, and/or event inventory management.

The Corporate Events Intern reports to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing. This role is based in Forcepoint’s Austin, TX headquarters.

The Corporate Events Intern reports to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing. This role is based in Forcepoint’s Austin, TX headquarters.
Essential Functions
- Support execution of internal and external conferences to include registration, housing, meeting space allocation, audio-visual, special events, transportation and more. Prior experience supporting large conferences and executive attendees is a plus.
- Support virtual conferences, including working within digital event platforms, tracking deliverables, and working with production teams to deliver high quality virtual event outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally on event deliverables in accordance with stated deadlines.
- Support installations at tradeshows.
- Help maintain and manage registration/hotel/air process with meticulous detail.
- Assist with show service orders and purchase requisitions, event budget tracking and execution of events within budget and process.
- Assist with coordinating logistics with vendors such as exhibit houses, show management firms, show service vendors, hotels and specialty vendors.
- Travel approximately 10% of time to event locations
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Working towards Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 years’ experience in B2B event planning - working within an agency environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of project management and timelines
- Some experience with procurement process is preferred
- Virtual events experience and experience working within digital platforms preferred
- Keen attention to detail and proven organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels
- Willing to do “whatever it takes” in the interest of a world class customer event experience.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; impeccable interpersonal skills.
- High degree of proficiency with MS Office applications – PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Ability to deal with last-minute changes and deadlines while showing grace under pressure
