**Job Description**
Are you ready to help lead Ford into a software-defined, electric future? Are you a skilled social media pro passionate about technology and making an impact on working people and the cities in which we live? If so, Ford Pro wants to hear from you.
Ford is continuing to transform its global automotive business, accelerating the development and scaling of breakthrough electric, connected vehicles. In May 2021, Ford President and CEO Jim Farley introduced the Ford plan, calling it the company's biggest opportunity for growth and value creation since Henry Ford scaled production of the Model T. As part of the Ford plan, Ford is creating distinct, but strategically interdependent, businesses - Ford Blue, Ford Model e, and Ford Pro - to drive growth and value creation.
Ford Pro is leveraging the power of data and its unique ecosystem of software, charging, services and financing to redefine what a commercial vehicle can do - powering businesses large and small into a new digital age. The growing Ford Pro communications team is looking for a social media manager to leverage our executive's presence on social media to raise awareness of how Ford Pro is accelerating productivity and sustainability for businesses and governments around the world.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop creative social content that raises awareness of Ford Pro's thought leadership
Manage key leaders' social media calendar, ensuring a steady drumbeat of strategic content is issued across channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Tic Tok
Apply proven skills to create, develop and execute social strategies and tactics that reflect channel differentiation and day-to-day communication needs
Daily social media engagement including responses, sharing content and social listening.
Partner with agency and internal team members to source and/or create content, providing detailed shot lists and briefs
Identify and develop a strategy to engage influencers on key topics such as electrification, and then work to execute the program
Ability to condense social metrics into presentations on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis looking at growth on both paid and organic strategies. Provide recommendations to optimize campaigns.
Seek new and innovative ways to reach key audiences on social media channels
Stay current on social media and platform best practices; distribute those learnings to internal teams to guide content planning and creative development
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of consulting or client-side experience managing executive social media channels for a mid- to large-sized global brand
Excellent writer
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert with social media channels, including Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and other emerging channels/platforms.
This position sits within the Ford Pro Communications team and alongside Ford Pro Marketing. Collaboration and teamwork are essential and being a true partner will be of utmost importance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, build credibility with collaborators, work independently, and be proactive
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
Proven examples of social media analytic tools including reporting, analysis, and results tracking over time.
