The Opportunity

The Head of Lincoln Marketing and Brand will lead the charge in evolving Lincoln’s US marketing communications to leverage data and technology to enable ‘who’ and ‘how’ we engage clients today and tomorrow. The ultimate ambition: data and tech enabled, idea-led marketing that is customer-centric. In addition, this person will also oversee the day to day vehicle line management, including P&L responsibilities, for our ICE vehicles (Corsair, Nautilus, Aviator and Navigator)

The Head of Lincoln Marketing and Brand will galvanize the functional teams, acting as a champion for change, to empower one unified integrated marketing communications and brand group aligned behind a common goal and shared outcomes.

With strong creativity and passion for the work, the Head of Lincoln Marketing and Brand Management will, at their core, be a modern marketer and both inspire great work and be a brilliant operator, who knows how to navigate complex and matrixed organizations and brands. She/he/they will be proven at working with multiple stakeholders and lead the charge with agency partners to drive work that delivers exceptional business results.

The Team/Organization

The Lincoln Head of Marketing and Brand leader has accountability for end-to-end marketing communications (the “purchase funnel”) experience as well as brand management over the individual nameplates (Corsair, Nautilus, Aviator and Navigator).

This role will lead a team of approximately 10 people including the head of US Lincoln marketing and associated Brand Managers as well as our Media, Product Communications and Digital and Social Strategy teams. This role will also be responsible for managing our agencies and report to Lincoln’s Director of NA Marketing Sales and Services.

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Be a strong people leader, guiding a team through change and transformation, with an eye on talent development, capability building, and culture
  • Lead marketing communications across strategy and executional functions including advertising and brand message strategy, communications planning, partnerships, social, branded content, experiential and creative production to deliver US priorities
    • Define the overall communications strategies for products and services
    • Launch new products and services to drive demand
    • Create and deploy ownership always-on communication strategy
    • Steward increased efficiency and speed to market in production processes
    • Deliver messaging strategies that engage expanded audience segments
  • Inject personalization and customization into the core marketing communications approach
  • Elevate social marketing to engage and connect with consumers in new ways
  • Lead identification of new, deeper insights to inform strategies and drive differentiation
  • Create business opportunities through strong brand partnerships that open channels to new and existing customers—including entertainment, sponsorships, and co-branded products, and events
  • Transform content production to deliver more nimble, dynamic content and increase efficiency
  • Work closely with key partners including sales organization, Comms, media, CX, EV team, GDIA (Global Data, Insights and Analytics), Enterprise Digital and Global Marketing aligning messaging and priorities
  • Work with key leaders across the company to develop, nurture, drive, and improve measurable brand affection/favorability by all stakeholders
  • Nurture complex Agency Partner relationships as their key point of contact to drive excellence in creative and media executions, efficiently and effectively
    • Lead annual agency scope process and annual agency evaluation
  • Lead a team of brand managers who have day to day responsibilities for meeting market equation targets approved at Program Approval (PA) including sales, share, Variable Marketing (VM) andprofit
  • Work closely with finance to develop price and offering strategies
  • Work closely with the program teams to manage Total Value Management (TVM) and Chip shortage initiatives/processes
  • Develop vehicle buzz actions or other initiatives to generate excitement for our products and improve sales
  • Manage budgets across group and ensure key priorities are funded

    • Multi-channel experience across multiple lines of business and geographies, can lead in and navigate a highly complex and matrixed organization
    • Passionate and demonstrable advocacy for customer experience and centricity, will be a customer-centric leader
    • Strategic mind-set and able to blend the art and science of marketing as customer behavior changes and marketing products and services rapidly evolve
    • Proven experience using data analytics to provide greater customer insight, drive innovation and improve efficiency and productivity
    • Experience in managing a multi-million-dollar budget, P&L, forecasting and setting up effective metrics and business processes
