The Operations Superintendent is responsible to lead a staff of three Supervisors and 80 hourly UAW employees in Warehousing, Inventory, Inbound, Outbound, Containerized Flow, Purchasing and Facility Management operations. It is a high velocity, fast paced, customer centric Redistribution Center that supplies after-market Ford parts to the North American distribution network.
Current operational hours are from 5:00PM until 3:30AM. Some weekends and/or Holidays will be required. Must be able to work regular overtime and any shift. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and Holidays when required.
- Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP/EWM and Microsoft Suite. MMP experience a plus.
- Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-Starter that is goal oriented
- Have a continuous improvement mind-set and proven track record of project implementation
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees.
- Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours.

What You Will Do:
- Manage a shift of 80 UAW employees in all aspects of the operation: Inbound, Outbound, Cross-Dock and Inventory
- Deliver on all objectives including, but not limited to: Safety Metrics, Quality Metrics, Inventory Accuracy, LPMH, Cycle Times, Vacation Scheduling, Absenteeism, LPMH, Process Adherence, Process Improvements (CIP Program)
- Champion a strong UAW relationship through the application of the Ford-UAW Contract and established Building Rules.
- Motivate, developing and hold your team of Supervisors accountable to a Best-In-Class standard of performance
- Manage all shift administration requirements including, but not limited to start-up meetings, Safety, Quality, Attendance Program, Payroll, Performance Reviews, Operational Reports, Facility Management, Purchasing and CIP Teams.
- Champion and lead initiatives to achieve a best-in-class Redistribution Center through project implementation, process improvements and process adherence
- Effectively and confidently communicate with all stakeholders of the your operation
