Foreign Policy (FP) was founded in 1970 with the vision of leading a root and branch rethink of how the United States engages with other countries. We explain Washington to the world and the world to Americans—and we do that by covering big trends in not only security and defense but also issues surrounding climate change, immigration, politics, culture, and more. FP is more than just a magazine: Our research division has been at the forefront of research on geopolitical risk, policy and regulatory trends, climate and security, gender parity, and more. Our podcast division is flourishing and includes successful shows I Spy, Ones and Tooze, the Hidden Economics of Remarkable Women (HERO), among many others. FP Events is rapidly expanding our programming, convening top leaders in government, business, and civil society for critical and timely conversations on a wide range of topics. FP Events produces multiple in-person, hybrid, and virtual summits, roundtables, simulations, and dialogues each year.

Working at FP
We currently have a flexible hybrid schedule and team members have the opportunity to work “from anywhere” for one month each year. We offer comprehensive benefits including 3 weeks of vacation, 7 days of sick time, parental leave, medical, dental, 401(k) match, a pension plan, gift matching, and a one time home-office stipend

  • Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity. Foreign Policy requires that all employees and contractors be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Foreign Policy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.
