The Forensic Photographer will be responsible for photographing all aspects of a post mortem examination including initial receipt and condition of the body, organ evisceration, injuries, artifacts, evidence and personal effects. This person will be photographing multiple bodies in various degrees and will be responsible for the managment of the digital files, storage media and equipment. This person may be called on to testify on occassion regarding the images as well as image retrieval for legal and historical purposes. This person will be responsible for training new staff on photographic techniques and use of equipment as well as image storage and retrieval. This person will be exposed to graphic and upleasant sites and odors and may be required to assist in the preperation of the area to be photographed such as wound cleaning, scalp shaving, etc. This person must be able to rotate on weekends as well as holidays and emergency situations.
Experience with image processing, storage, retrieval and managment is preferred.
