Requirement: Dod Cyber Policy Consultant


Job Description:

Forge requires a Consultant to join a dynamic team supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense - Principal Cyber Advisor's Office. Tasks include responding to specific and general requests for support products and programmatic information on Cyber issues, Cyber operations authorities, policy formulation, and ongoing programs; building and maintaining tracking sheets; preparing responses for executive presentations using various briefing platforms and office technologies; and additional responsibilities related to managing an established OSD-Policy support program. The DoD Cyber Policy Consultant will work closely with government personnel and contractor analysts across the OSD-Policy community to develop and execute innovative Cyber solutions that support DoD, interagency, allies, and partner interests.

The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of program tracking tools in the Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Meticulous management of Cyber projects, budgets, and oversight requirements
  • Understanding DoD programmatic responsibilities for reporting, accountability, and executive support
  • Responding to requests for program information by executive leadership
  • Quickly research, analyze, and package results in response to short-fusedrequirements
  • Prepare quality presentations on short notice for executive presentations
  • Analyze and identify trends, emerging issues, or future requirements as part of an overarching program planning and implementation process
  • Maintain a comprehensive accounting of measures of effectiveness, schedule, and progress across the program efforts
  • Advise client on Cyber policy, operations, and related cyberspace support issues.
  • Coordinate across a diverse set of stakeholders in DoD and the interagency
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to cyberspace operations, policy, and posture

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • U.S. Citizen
  • 5 years of recent experience in strategic Cyber support at the Joint, OSD,Department of State, GCCs, or Service HQ-level
  • 3 years of experience with program and project management practices, preferably supporting the Department of defense
  • 4 years of planning and implementing Cyber strategy and posture support activities
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field
  • Experience supporting DoD programs and strategic initiatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to follow security protocols to protect sensitive data

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited university

Salary Range: $110-$125k/yr
