Our Team You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Design, implement and continuously enhance EHS programs that protect our employees and the environment
- Ensure our manufacturing practices meet or exceed all applicable EHS regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Facilities, R&D,
- Advanced Manufacturing and HR to integrate EHS into our culture and processes
- Analyze EHS metrics to identify risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions to leadership
- Train and coach employees and managers on EHS best practices to build engagement and accountability
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement innovative safety and health programs that go beyond
- Continuously improve EHS policies and practices to minimize risks and prevent occupational hazards.
- Maintain meticulous environmental records and prepare insightful reports that demonstrate the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Proactively analyze and evaluate safety programs, policies and practices to not only meet, but exceed local, state and federal regulatory requirements. Provide timely monitoring and reports that showcase the effectiveness of the EHS programs.
- Establish best-in-class standards and methods for measuring EHS performance that drive continuous improvement and employee engagement around safety.
- Assess training needs and develop impactful, engaging training programs that inspire employees to take ownership of their safety responsibilities and maintain a constant focus on working safely.
- Implement user-friendly accident and incident reporting systems that encourage employee participation and enable root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, applying problem-solving skills to determine root causes and recommend high-impact changes to work practices and equipment that eliminate safety risks.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready EHS records, including training and certification documentation, which demonstrate the robustness of the safety programs.
- Perform periodic compliance audits with an eye for improvement opportunities. Ensure prompt response to and closure of audit findings to maintain a state of constant compliance readiness.
- Conduct scientific evaluations of exposures to noise, particles, gases, fumes, etc. and recommend effective control measures that maximize employee protection.
- Collaborate with outside safety and environmental organizations to not just comply with, but stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for regulatory audits.
- BS in chemical engineering, environment, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or other related scientific discipline
- Minimum 10 years progressive work experience in EHS and manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of EHS regulations (EPA, OSHA, state/local) and management
- systems (ISO 14001, 45001)
- Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to influence without authority and manage change in a fast-paced
- environment
- Passion for EHS excellence and helping others work safely
