The Financial Analyst, FP&A is responsible for providing support to The Group’s CEO, CFO and Business Units Presidents.
Key activities of the Financial Analyst include month-end financial analysis, forecast, budget and other monthly deliverables/reporting. The analyst will track department performance and provide detailed metrics and analysis around variance drivers. The Financial Analyst is also responsible for various ad hoc financial analyses and measuring operational metrics. Effective communication of analysis through executive-level presentations is essential, as are interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with presentations of financial analysis and interpretations to executive-level audience
- Work with Accounting team partners to analyze and facilitate the month-end close.
- Support the quarterly forecast and annual budget process, including financial consolidation/analysis and preparation of presentations for senior leadership.
- Evaluate operating results and provide management reports/presentations detailing variances to forecast and/or budget.
- Assist with headcount/team member analysis and organization changes, including enhancement of current headcount data.
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Support cash forecasting process and contribute to the global cash management strategy.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of bank accounts, balances, bank/Treasury systems.
- Partner with Business Development and other teams to price new accounts.
- Prepare financial models to assess the financial viability of new accounts and prepare post-mortem account reviews on specific accounts.
- Work directly with cross-functional teams within Business Development, Operations and Corporate Finance to develop and implement financially sound business processes and deals.
- The individual needs to be able to maintain positive relationship with their internal sales customers while negotiating pricing deals to help grow overall market share.
- Responsible for creating analysis and recommendations to win new business accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- 0 – 2 years of financial planning, accounting, analysis, developing forecasts and budgets, and cash flow management or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrated analytical (industry, market, and business) and quantitative skills.
- Ability to build strong trusted working relationships with internal and external business customers at all levels, including executive level management.
- Proven ability to prepare executive level reports and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word) required.
