Fors Marsh is seeking an intern. This individual would work in our Data Management department. This role is best suited for an individual who is attending or recently graduated from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) or a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI.)

Responsibilities include:

• Administrative tasks to support technical project management.
• Management and processing of survey research data.
• Production of SPSS/STATA/R/SAS syntax.
• Metadata development.
• Testing simulated data.
• File production and report development.
• Maintaining project schedules.
• Documentation organization.

Qualifications:

• Strong performance in a BS or MS program in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Psychology, Sociology, or other social sciences.
• Experience with data and/or survey research.
• Familiarity with data science, programming, and/or survey research techniques and the theory behind them.
• Course work or job experience conducting social science research.
• Experience with syntax development, preferably in SPSS/STATA/R/SAS.
• Microsoft Office skills.

Location: Remote, United States residents only.

Internship length: 6 months.

Hourly commitment: Full-time hours throughout the summer (June-August), part-time flexible hours (about 10 hours/week) in the fall (September through November).

Compensation:

• Bachelor’s degree Only: $25/hour
• Working towards Masters: $25-30/hour
• Master’s degree: $30/hour
• Working towards PhD: $30-$35/hour
