DEFINITION/PURPOSE:
Oversee, manage and direct all functions, operations and programs provided by Wassaja
Family Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers and oversees comprehensive Family Services tribal programs. Evaluates, develops and maintains department goals, policies, and procedures. Provides assistance to other tribal departments in areas of behavioral health, mental health treatment, child welfare and social services. Identifies and approves implementation of new and existing programs and services based on tribal community needs.
Manages and supervises professional staff in areas of substance abuse treatment, mental health therapy, social services, child welfare and tribal court support services. Evaluates and networks with facilities contracted for inpatient and outpatient treatment services.
Ensures compliance with accreditation requirements of Health facility; approves and oversees staff training, in accordance with accreditation, professional and program development requirements.
Develops, presents, and justifies program budget requests; monitors funding from tribal allocations and contracts from federal and private grants provided for department operations. Identifies and incorporates strategic planning goals and objectives into budget process. Seeks and oversees grant funding applications; ensures compliance with grant contracts by evaluating programs, providing reports regarding status of funded projects or positions. Works with local, state, federal, medical, public health services, and welfare agencies.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
1) Masters Degree in Social Work with CISW, or Arizona Certification or Masters in Psychology or related field 2) Supervisor Clinician Certification 3) Seven (7) years of clinical experience in social services including child welfare experience and behavioral health services including chemical dependency experience. 4) A minimum of five (5) years of management/ supervision / administration responsibilities. 5) Clinical experience working with the Native American population, preferred tribes, community or organizations.
POSITION STATUS: Regular, Full-Time
PAYRATE: $96,075.13 to $115,290.15
