What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Reinsurance Analyst position at Fortegra?
The Senior Reinsurance Analyst role requires a dedicated member of the Specialty Group with a strong knowledge of reinsurance accounting to perform various aspects of Ceded and Assumed reinsurance in the Insurance Programing Business. We are looking for individual who understand the the flow of insurance and/or reinsurance operations and responsibilities.
Primary Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Contract interpretation is a must.
- Guide and/or prepare cession statements according to contract wordings.
- Liaise with Accounting for reinsurance accounts, settlements, and submissions
- Attendance at broker/reinsurer calls as well as schedule meetings and follow ups.
- Assist Reinsurance Accounting Manager in preparing the core Quarterly cession statements to intermediaries.
- Review & monitor the reinsurance register to ensure accuracy.
- Continuously improve reinsurance operation process & assist in delivering effective reinsurance services
- Assist with ad-hoc projects such as audit request, funds tracking, etc.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree preferably in Accounting, finance or business related field.
- Minimum 5 yr experience in insurance & reinsurance industry including multinational exposure.
- Good knowledge and experience of Treaty reinsurance structures (proportional and non-proportional).
- Hands-on experience in analyzing, defining & developing requirements and workflow processes.
- Experience with Reinsurance systems is a plus but not required.
- Understand risk reporting (bordereaux), reinsurance accounting, bordereaux validation and analysis, and contract interpretation.
- Insurance programing business is a plus but not required.
