Fortis is seeking a senior level experienced hunter within the payments industry for a position on the Partner Development team! The ideal candidate is a hunter with the ability to land new partnerships for Fortis. Partnerships would be defined as ISVs/POS software developers.
In this role the candidate will report to the VP of Partner Development, they will recruit, develop, and sign new partners via multiple channels, including self-sourcing, trade shows, professional networking, inbound leads, personal connections, and company driving marketing campaigns. The candidate should possess a hunter mentality and an entrepreneurial mindset with the innate ability to establish new partnerships. Partnerships defined as independent software vendors (ISVs), value added resellers (VARs) and POS software developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to find new partnerships that contribute to the growth of the FortisPay merchant portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting sales quotas
- The ability to self-manage – prioritizing and planning your own work schedule.
- Work closely with The Channel Partner Manager
- Develops a list of prospects from resource materials or company records
- Enter sales lead information into CRM for appointments, proposals, and follow ups.
- Introduce Fortis to potential partners
- Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications
- Educating non-profits, ISVs, and merchants on the payment processing industry
- Quote rates, fees, and prices about our services to prospective clients
- Closing sales of our payment processing services
- Maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business, or related field preferred
- Solid understanding of the merchant services industry
- Track record of success finding, landing, and growing successful partnerships (ideally in fintech/payments space/payfac)
- Basic computer skills and experience with tracking and recording call information, creating customer profiles/accounts; may include entering and tracking customer data, CRM software familiarity, and lead generation software.
- Team player focused on excellence, collaboration and idea sharing
- Strong ability to understand contract negotiations, revenue sharing, residuals.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Strong work ethic and desire to succeed. * Strong consultative approach, solution selling mentality and confidence to sell directly to the key decision makers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
