The Jr. Security Analyst will document methods & procedures (M&Ps) for the performance of Software and Hardware product assessments, and work with internal and external stakeholders to define and document new and/or improve M&Ps and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage documented methods & procedures (M&Ps) in the performance of Software and Hardware product assessments
- Validate vendor provided information/data
- Evaluate risk presented from the output of product assessment
- Work with others to define and document new and or improved M&Ps
- Take/follow instructions from team-leads & managers
- Anticipate, recognize, report, and help resolve issues
- Microsoft Products (Word, Excel – intermediate skills or more)
- Ability to work under demanding deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to think critically with an attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of Computer Networking experience
- 1 year of knowledge of Internet Protocols, communication protocols, data and network security
- 1 year of knowledge of hardware designs
Education:
- Bachelor’s, Associates in computer science or Cyber Security/ Information Security or 1-3 years relevant experience
OR
- Bachelor’s, Associates, or 2nd in Electronics Technologies, Digital Electronics fundamentals, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering… or 1-3 years relevant experience
Preferred Licensing/Certifications:
- CompTIA Security (Nice to have) or
- Cyber Security Analyst (CySA Nice to have), (in lieu of Sec ) or
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) (Nice to have)
- EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) (Nice to have)
