Job Description
The Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN) Senior Financial Analyst within the Commercial Finance team will provide financial partnership, planning, reporting, and analysis to the Commercial Functions. The Senior Financial Analyst will work cross-functionally with finance and commercial business leaders and their teams to drive profitability, enhance reporting, and improve performance. This role will have exposure across the entire FBIN portfolio of businesses and products in its work with the Commercial Functions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Commercial Function leadership and teams to drive value creation for FBIN, provide financial guidance and insights, and support related planning and forecasting activities
- Participate in regular business reviews with Commercial Functions, track and report KPIs and performance against targets and forecasts, and assist in completing business review packages, annual plan packages, and other presentations, as necessary
- Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and strive for continuous improvement
- Participate in the annual plan and monthly forecast process
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and project support, as necessary
- Develop procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and best practices
- Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries and perform follow-up communication
- Maintain controls and appropriate compliance as dictated by our parent company (FBIN), external auditor (PwC), and relevant authorities (e.g., U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, etc.)
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, etc.) is required; an MBA, CPA and/or CMA is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience is required
- Proven analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of SAP and BPC is preferred
- Proficiency with Excel modeling, data management, and translating information into meaningful insights and presentations
- Ability to manage priorities and deadline, handle pressure, and perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Highly motivated self-starter who has had experience working in ambiguous situations
- Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of business fundamentals
- Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
- Microsoft application skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
