Position: Operations Manager
Job Description:
The Operations Manager is a critical leader at the market level. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations at his/her location(s) with an emphasis on process’s, audits, training and compliance. The Operations Manager will be required to fully understand all aspects of his/her location(s), build positive relationships with the client, increase performance and increase the efficiencies of the operations. Relationship building with client, recruiting, and gaining 100% of client business in each location by exceeding expectations are our utmost priorities.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manager in training to become Location Manager or QC Manager
- Work with management to create and refine SOP’s for all aspects of operations
- Ensure all company policies and SOP’s are adhered to
- Maintain 100% inventory accuracy for all products and accessories
- Ensure daily and weekly audits are completed properly (cycle counts, cancel report, MARS audits)
- Focus on Independent Contractor Partnerships (Onboarding, Training, Profitability & Compliance)
- Hold Service Provider meetings as needed to review claims, settlements, compliance, etc.
- Attend daily pre-shift/safety meetings to outline SOPs, Quality, or Training Topics
- Manage claims and their processes (Product damage, property damage and inventory variance)
- Store visits as needed in order to exceed client expectations and build/maintain relationships
- Hold Weekly Operations Meetings with management team to discuss improvement plans
- Address and report any safety concerns
- Provide Weekly and daily updates on your location’s performance. Recaps should include:
- Improvement plans, loadout, claims and ride behind recaps
- Scorecard and KPI
- Lane audits and cycle counts
- Must be willing to cover any shift and any responsibilities as needed
- Provide operational support to assigned locations when needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Self-motivated and maintains a high level of energy
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, WMS, Descartes
- Organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong verbal and personal communication skills
- Ability to pass forklift and hazardous certifications yearly
- Ability to read and understand industry documents; container load plans, bill of lading, bonded documents
- Must be willing to relocate with advancement
