Position: Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Operations Manager is a critical leader at the market level. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations at his/her location(s) with an emphasis on process’s, audits, training and compliance. The Operations Manager will be required to fully understand all aspects of his/her location(s), build positive relationships with the client, increase performance and increase the efficiencies of the operations. Relationship building with client, recruiting, and gaining 100% of client business in each location by exceeding expectations are our utmost priorities.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manager in training to become Location Manager or QC Manager
  • Work with management to create and refine SOP’s for all aspects of operations
  • Ensure all company policies and SOP’s are adhered to
  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy for all products and accessories
  • Ensure daily and weekly audits are completed properly (cycle counts, cancel report, MARS audits)
  • Focus on Independent Contractor Partnerships (Onboarding, Training, Profitability & Compliance)
  • Hold Service Provider meetings as needed to review claims, settlements, compliance, etc.
  • Attend daily pre-shift/safety meetings to outline SOPs, Quality, or Training Topics
  • Manage claims and their processes (Product damage, property damage and inventory variance)
  • Store visits as needed in order to exceed client expectations and build/maintain relationships
  • Hold Weekly Operations Meetings with management team to discuss improvement plans
  • Address and report any safety concerns
  • Provide Weekly and daily updates on your location’s performance. Recaps should include:
    • Improvement plans, loadout, claims and ride behind recaps
    • Scorecard and KPI
    • Lane audits and cycle counts
  • Must be willing to cover any shift and any responsibilities as needed
  • Provide operational support to assigned locations when needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Self-motivated and maintains a high level of energy
  • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, WMS, Descartes
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong verbal and personal communication skills
  • Ability to pass forklift and hazardous certifications yearly
  • Ability to read and understand industry documents; container load plans, bill of lading, bonded documents
  • Must be willing to relocate with advancement
