What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Assistant position at Forward Financing?

We are seeking an ambitious, resourceful and detail-oriented professional to assist our Legal Department with a variety of tasks. As a Compliance Assistant, you will support the Legal Department's compliance efforts ranging from assisting with internal audits to creating training materials. You will report to one of our compliance attorneys, and work collaboratively with our team of attorneys, specialists, and other legal assistants.
In this role you will:
- Be a critical member of our growing compliance team helping to shape the future of a rapidly-growing fintech company.
- Conduct preliminary reviews for background checks on third-party vendors.
- Perform audits of internal and external Company communications to confirm adherence to policies.
- Create content for employee and third-party training materials.
- Build relationships across numerous departments and teams to provide compliance support.
- Help investigate and resolve a wide range of legal issues.
- Maintain legal databases and project trackers.
- Assist with reviewing and editing policies and compliance guides.
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments with varying priorities and durations.
Preferred:
- Experience in a law firm, legislative/regulatory office, and/or compliance setting is a plus.
- Experience with project management and contracts is also a plus.
