FORWARD SERVICE CORPORATION’S (FSC) UPWARD BOUND PROGRAMS
High School Spanish Teachers for Upward Bound Summer Program
What is Upward Bound:
Upward Bound serves high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree and/or from families who meet federal income guidelines. The goal of UB is to help students recognize and develop their potential and to encourage them to pursue post-secondary degrees
Where:
- We will be holding a hybrid program. This will be an opportunity to teach virtually and on campus at UW - Stout.
When:
- Training and orientation will be determined at a later date
- In person classes will be taught June 27th, 28th and 29th. These classes will be 3 hours per day.
- In addition, we will have 6 hours worth of virtual classes/actives/assignments that students will complete by June 30th and July 1st.
Compensation:
- Starting salary will be $2,000/summer and go up depending on years of experience with the FSC UB programs. Payment paid in two installments; half mid-program and half at end.
What you get to do:
- Teach courses in the assigned area (Spanish)
- Develop a curriculum focusing on key concepts that will prepare students for their next year’s high school courses
- Prepare pre- and post- test to determine student improvement
- Submit lesson plans for review and approval by the Upward Bound Advisor
- Attend planning meeting
Qualifications:

- Licensed teacher for 9th – 12th grade in given field and at least 1 year teaching experience preferred
- All offers will be contingent on a successful criminal background check
- Must live and work in Wisconsin
