We are a creative-driven, fast-paced, and growing e-commerce business ForYourParty.com located in Skokie, IL. We are seeking bright, creative, and hardworking individuals to join our team in the capacity of Typesetter/Pre-press Operator/Production Designer. This multifaceted role encompasses responsibilities such as typesetting, pre-press design, customer service, and graphic design. Marketplace experience, Amazon Etsy experience, e-commerce, and marketing expertise are a bonus and provide additional room to grow with the company.

Our Skokie facility houses both our retail and wholesale businesses. We operate businesses that manufacture, wholesale to trade, and retail to the consumer personalized party accessories. From foil stamping and letterpress to thermography and digital equipment, we manufacture a wide range of products, including paper goods, masks, PPE, napkins, and invitations. We are looking for a creative individual willing to wear many hats while having typesetting, production/pre-press setup, graphic art, and customer service experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will vary but include typesetting, pre-press production and product design.

· Prepare and arrange text and graphics on an Illustrator board according to customer specifications.

· Ensure that all designs are accurately positioned and formatted for the etching process.

· Work closely with the internal teams (and customers) to understand and interpret custom design orders.

· Adjust and modify designs as necessary to fit the required dimensions and layouts.

· Proofread and perform quality checks on all typesetting work before production.

· Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process.

· Manage and organize digital files and paperwork of customer orders in an efficient manner.

Requirements:

- Experience: Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional typesetting skills. Graphic design experience, especially with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), is preferred.

- Skills/Programs: Proficiency in PMS/Pantone Color matching, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, quick learner and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

- Education: BA, BFA, or similar in Graphic Design or Typesetting.

Work Hybrid:

Brand new employees will work strictly in the office for the first 4 months of their employment. Afterward, they can transition into our hybrid Work from Home 2 days a week model, once approved by their manager.
