What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Talent position at FOSSA?

About the Role

You will be the leader of the FOSSA recruiting team. The role gives you a unique experience to join an early stage startup (Series B) operating in one of the hottest spaces in tech. You will be responsible for all aspects of our Talent Acquisition including: scaling the team, building out robust processes, and managing a team of high performing recruiting professionals. 

In the role you will: 

  • Own all aspects of the recruitment process ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance and onboarding
  • Champion an effective and collaborative relationship for all members of the recruiting team and the respective hiring managers
  • Develop and manage a 4 quarter hiring plan enabling recruiting team has adequate resources and time to execute 
  • Work with FOSSA management to prioritize and deliver on quarterly hiring targets
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and goals to execute results
  • Provide monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to management on pipeline metrics, current status of open roles, and challenges being faced

About you:

  • You have 5 years of experience in full-cycle Recruiting experience at a fast-paced, high growth environment 
  • 3 years as a manager of a recruiting team or as a lead recruiter
  • You are passionate about recruiting exceptional talent and being brand ambassador for the company
  • You’ve partnered closely and built trust with leaders across different teams and management levels (including executive level)
  • You have worked with an ATS System (Greenhouse, Lever, Bullhorn, etc.)
  • Managing is a passion of yours and you find fulfillment in continually improving team performance and development of team members 
  • Professionalism is paramount to you and is embodied in all aspects of your work
  • You are willing to get hands on and solve problems in the most pragmatic way
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence, active listening skills, and tactical empathy
  • You’re a team player and resilient in the face of challenges
