Quality Assurance Analyst Software

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst provides functional, black box and user acceptance testing through understanding of the business flow and interconnections of business processes. Creates test cases that model client scenarios. Analyze test suites to recognize and reduce redundancies without sacrificing quality.

Playing an important part of the software delivery process, the ideal candidate will be responsible for running all tests and signing off on releases. They are the gatekeeper and will be monitoring and assuring quality standards are met and are enabled to stop the process if needed so corrective measures can be taken.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

• Interacts closely with the project manager and developer in the system analysis process and helps clarify requirements
• Participates in requirements reviews; Analyzes system and business requirements to ensure they are clear, complete and accurate
• Build/maintain regression test suite containing positive & negative tests
• Collaborate on test strategy and performs risk analysis to guide testing efforts for the assigned work
• Creates, uses and maintains automated test scripts to increase efficiencies in testing
• Reports and manages defects
• Provides status and results of testing activities
• Prepares test environment to support testing effort; Assists with resolution of environmental issues
• Performs all duties in a professional, responsive and collaborative manner

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with software testing
• Understands and advocates following a process driven approach
• Familiar with Object Oriented Code (C#, Java, etc)
• Experience performing requirements analysis, creating test plans, and test plan maintenance
• Proven ability to motivate and cooperate with team members to accomplish goals
• Familiar with Azure Dev Ops or similar tool
• Proven analysis and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and manage tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Ability to research and maintain awareness of new technologies
• Test automation experience with at least one industry standard automation tool a plus
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL
