Title: Staff Accountant
Reporting To: CFO / CDO
Role Overview:
Foundry is looking for a highly motivated, energic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance squad! You will be working directly with executive staff, cross-functional teams in developing and implementing the best practices for our accounting and financial reporting systems. You will be the leader responsible for processing Month-End close and financial statement preparation.
Responsibility:
- Ownership of the essential account reconciliations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and daily interaction with business partners and external auditors.
- Work with senior leadership in preparation and communication of revenue analysis and company KPI’s / OKR’s.
- Book monthly journal entries and prepare related balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Reviews general ledger activity to ensure all activity is properly recorded and reflected in financial statements.
- Manages all cash related activities including application of cash receipts, corresponding journal entries, cash reconciliations, and detailed cash tracking.
- Manages the processing of monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
- Assistance in other projects and department OKR’s including ERP implementation, and other ad hoc as needed.
Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant accounting experience within an Ecommerce / Retail company. Start-up experience is preferred.
- Active CPA.
- Experience using NetSuite. Proficient in Excel.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Eager to roll up yourselves, have a “can-do” attitude, and a love for analyzing large datasets.
