Residential Glazier

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Glazier to join our team. As a Residential Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential settings. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of various types of glass and glazing techniques, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install glass for shower enclosures, mirrors, and other residential glass applications.
• Select appropriate glass types, thicknesses, and tints based on customer requirements and building codes.
• Fabricate and install custom glass features such as tabletops, shelving, and decorative glass panels.
• Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including glass cutters, grinders, drills, and glazing tools.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide accurate estimates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors on larger projects to ensure timely completion.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in glazing techniques, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Residential Glazier or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of different types of glass, their properties, and applications.
• Proficient in measuring, cutting, and installing glass using various techniques.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Frequent lifting, bending, twisting and reaching along with clamping hand and wrist motions
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a regular basis including carrying, pushing and pulling motions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
