What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Services Worker position at Four Oaks Family And Childrens Services?
What you will do?
As a Youth Services Worker you will provide direct care services and coverage to meet the needs of our clients. This includes but is not limited to ensuring safety & supervision, skill building, behavioral management and communications within the team. Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide supervision and treatment intervention.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
- Evaluate the impact of behavioral, group treatment, and life-space interventions while providing direction & feedback.
- Serve as a positive role model and agent of change for the youth.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client based on trust & respect.
- Provide supervision and treatment intervention.
- Safely transport youth to/from program activities and community resources while monitoring behaviors.
- Provide individualized reinforcement to client behavior to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors.
- Utilize a proactive/preventive method of intercepting problems before they escalate.
- Assist clients in developing insight into their behaviors so that they learn to self-identify and self correct.
- Know the population and be aware of individualized treatment plan.
- Evaluate the impact of behavioral, group treatment, and life-space interventions while providing direction & feedback.

What you need:
You will need to be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED to qualify. Additional requirements include:
- Desire to help kids succeed
- Prior experience working with children is preferred
- Strong communication and problem solving abilities
- Basic computer skills in a MS Office environment
