Assist the Director of Engineering in all aspects of Hotel, Residences and building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

Essential Functions
- Assist in the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.
- Ensure proper execution of work order/request system and that items are followed up on when necessary. This is to include scheduling, ordering, and initiating projects.
- Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders and liaise effectively with the Director of Purchasing.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies and rules to ensure an efficient department.
- Ensure that the Perfect Room program is effective and meets company standards. Be able to make recommendations pertaining to Hotel operations ensuring maximum efficiencies.
- Maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items. (10%)
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Actively support the Lead With Care and Four Seasons for Good Committees
- Support the energy conservation program allowing the hotel to meet its annual budget targets.
- Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors who furnish reliable 24 hour emergency service.
- High school education or equivalent required
- Trade school in mechanics, refrigeration etc. strongly preferred
- Two to five years of experience in the related position with an organization required, preferably a luxury hotel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English required
- Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
- Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-Job or through a series of professional certifications.
- Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
- Requires knowledge of blueprints, wiring diagrams and hydraulics.
