Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i is seeking a Cook 1/Butcher JOIN OUR 'OHANA The Cook 1/Butcher is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. From a fluffy omelet at three in the morning to an elaborate banquet, our kitchens are always in overdrive, meeting the demands of all of the hotels Food and Beverage operations. The Cook 1/Butcher prepares meat, seafood and poultry items according to established specifications, production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. They will inspect all meat, seafood, and poultry according to established specifications and Four Seasons Standards and perform yield testing. The Cook 1/Butcher will operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill. The Kitchen presents and endless amount of opportunities of learning and growth for line cook positions of all levels. What We Look For: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cuisine! Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. The line cook works together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required. Excellent communication skills are essential. The line cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, meat and cheese slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill. Proficient knife skills are also required. Position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift up to 70lbs.
