We are looking for a Candidate that can be part of a rapidly growing team to perform the duty of a Safety Coordinator. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms, lead and teach team members within the Organization.
Must have in-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA (PADEP) standards. Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with great skills to attention and excellent organizational skills.
Duties : Assist the Safety Manager with developing, implementing, managing, maintaining, and enforcing our Comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EH&S- SMS ) programs policies, procedures, and protocols at the discretion of the Safety Manager.
Assist the Safety Manager with preparing, distributing, training, and enforcing company policies to develop positive habits that will establish a culture of Health and Safety, also provide Safety training for employee on policies, regulations, and procedures to promote Health and Safety initiatives, and confirms organization compliance and fulfills General Industry protocol(s) and guideline as well as local, state, and federal regulations, laws, and standards.
Clerical and Administrative duties : involving revising / updating programs; maintaining written logs; identifying documenting, cauterizing, listing, distributing, and tracking results of safety inspections, general reviews, and activities;
writing / completing reports and recordkeeping.Participate in Team Safety meetings, audits, and inspections to evaluate and monitor performance, and obtain and identify areas of the Safety Management System and Culture that are successful and require attention for improvement and decipher Corrective-Preventative Actions Assure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract document(s) and Good Manufacturing / Engineering PracticesWork with all appropriate Department Managers and Leaders to schedule safety training for employees of all areas of operations.
Responsible for conducting on-site visit and examine current safety procedures, and practices in action. Generate notes concerning possible revision(s) that could assist in limiting risks and exposures that may be detrimental to personnel and potentially cause personal injury while on the job.
Inspection of work areas, equipment (production / administration) and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions, to ensure safe working conditions.
Also, to use foresight and analytical skills to prevent potential for accident that could occur and ensure all on the team is committed to a culture of Safety and Support.
Assist the Safety Manager and Safety Committee Members with Accident investigations to discover Root Causes. Review reports determine common causes of workplace injuries and brainstorm ways to address those problems.
Develop emergency evacuation plans so that teams can enforce a consistent plan to keep all safe. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities and new prevention measures.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with established guidelines. Requirement / Personal Skills : A bachelor’s degree in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) or current study toward EHS.
Preferred but not required.In-depth knowledge of OSHA, PADEP, and EPA Standards and Regulations.Problem solving skills excellent organizational skills and attention to details skills.
Excellent communicational skills.Able to write reports clearly and legibly.Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with all guidelines.
