What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Painter position at FOX Factory, Inc.?
Position Summary:
Responsible for spraying prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers and decorative or finish coatings. Paint parts that will utilized in the production of vehicles.
Position Responsibilities:
- Repair and refinish painted bumpers
- Repair and refinish painted mirrors, door handles, fender flares, side moldings and spoilers.
- Buff and touch up minor chips and scratches
- Mix paints to match color specifications or original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
- Select paint according to company requirements and match paint colors, following specified color charts.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- Prep vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
- Paint application system — Paint booths and spray guns

Position Qualifications:
Education:
HS graduate or equivalent
Experience:
4 years of automotive painting experience required
Some fiberglass finishing experience required
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
