Key Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all salespeople.
- Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
- Establishes annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
- Monitors salesperson productivity and performance.
- Orders/acquires new- and used-inventory.
- Administers and monitors factory-sponsored programs.
- Displays, merchandises, and promotes new- and used-inventory.
- Maintain the inventory control system along with new profit objectives to eliminate the possibility of lower than anticipated profits
- Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for sales management
- Oversee the management of new and used bike inventory in accordance with dealership policy
- Adhere to dealership sales and lead follow-up procedures
- Adhere to budgeted revenue and expense objectives
- Execute promotional campaigns
- Maintain efficiency reports on all sales personnel
- Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
- Serves as liaison between sales department and other departments.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Attends managers meetings as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

- Experience within the Sales Department of a motor vehicle dealership or comparable experience managing a sales organization
- Knowledge and experience with sales of motorcycles and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Passion for the motorcycling lifestyle and riding community
- Must have ability to relate with broad customer base
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
- Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, along with general email/internet
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills and customer service skills required

- Experience with computerized inventory systems, or the ability to quickly learn
