KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Brand Manager is a responsible for enhancing brand recognition, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences with our products. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute brand strategies that align with our business objectives. Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies and marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
  • Uphold and promote the brand's values, image, and positioning.
  • Hires, trains, supervises and monitors the performance of the variable and fixed department managers.
  • Works directly with Departmental Managers and General Manager to prepare the annual dealership operating budget by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and employee count and positions.
  • Ensures that both variable and fixed managers understand dealership policies, procedures and expectations for system utilization.
  • Works with dealer and general manager to monitor days’ supply for new and used vehicles and enforce group aging policies.
  • Works with variable managers on the development of a plan to dispose of over-aged vehicles.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the variable department, including revenue generation and expenses. Expected to exceed monthly budgets.
  • Meets weekly and monthly with the general manager to review monthly forecasts, revenue, expenses and Fixed KPI’s that are critical in driving dealership net income.
  • Responsible for ensuring dealership achieves above National average CSI scores.
  • Monitors the daily operating control (DOC), recommending improved courses of action where necessary.
  • Provides General Manager with accurate, weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership.
  • Ensures the monthly financial statement is complete, accurate and submitted on time.
  • Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history. Makes recommendations to the general manager regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, promotions, staffing needs, and compensation plans.
  • Addresses customer complaints to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for developing and supervising employee training.  This includes weekly sales meetings, monthly tech meetings and new hire training activities to ensure policies and procedures are consistently adhered to.
  • Reviews all requests for training, approves those which are appropriate and consistent with the dealership’s goals for professional/technical ability and advancement, and monitors for effectiveness.
  • Meets individually with managers to develop monthly and annual goals, objectives and to review actual performance. Ensure managers are completing monthly and/or quarterly reviews with their staff.
  • Audits all appraisals of trade-in vehicles. Facilitates Save-A-Deal Meetings with New and pre-owned Managers.
  • Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
  • Monitors (monthly and quarterly) Manufacturer Incentive / Bonus programs to ensure dealership is maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor Manufacturer monthly composite data and report to GM on areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attends managers’ meetings as requested.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record of success in brand management within the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns
  • Results-oriented and capable of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Previous experience with premium or luxury automotive brands is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exceptional project management skills
