What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse PACU (PRN) position at FPP?
Florida Pain Physicians is looking for an experienced RN with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The RN is responsible for managing individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with center policies and procedures. Performs any other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care and physician service.
Florida Coast Pain and Spine offers the most comprehensive treatment for Chronic and Acute Pain Management in Jacksonville. Our physicians offer services ranging from medication management to guided injections of the joints and spine, nerve blocks, Radiofrequency Ablation, Intrathecal Pain Pump management and Kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures and Spinal Cord Stimulators. Some common diagnosis that we treat are chronic and acute back pain, headache and neck pain, diabetic neuropathy pain, post-laminectomy syndrome, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Cancer Pain, Postherpectic Neuralgia Pain and Fibromyalgia.
Essential Duties Include:
RN provides skilled nursing care under the direction of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists or Provider.
Nursing care will be implemented using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
Observes and documents patients’ medical and educational needs to assist in patient assessment and care.
Consistently follows the Nursing Plan of Care for the patient.
Participates and maintains safety and dignity of patient at all times.
Effectively Communicates with all providers and staff members
This PRN position will work approximately 8-10 hours per week.
Desirable Candidates will possess:
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree, in nursing or related field.
FL State RN License required.
BLS/ACLS certified
Previous health care setting experience required; preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting, operating room, or in pain management.
Must be detail-oriented, professional and courteous with excellent organization/communication skills.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities.
Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors.
Travel:
