GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
In collaboration with the Director and the Associate Director of Alumni Relations, this position plans, implements, and executes programming and services for Framingham State University alumni. Areas of focus include event planning and execution, alumni engagement, and communications.

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in creating and executing alumni events and initiatives, including reserving venues, coordinating vendors, ordering food, supplies and other necessary materials and equipment and supervising student workers.
- Create written materials and social media posts to promote events.
- Create invitation lists using the alumni database.
- Update the main calendar of alumni events and communications.
- Assist with sending newsletters, surveys and event marketing.
- Listen to alumni and work to resolve their requests and concerns.
- Update the alumni web site with current news and event information.
- Manage regular, accurate updates to the alumni database.
- Compile data for use in reporting alumni engagement through social media and other web-based tools; assist with the development and tracking of surveys to measure event success;
- Supports department-wide projects, activities and events as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is based in a shared office space steps from a busy college campus. Significant use of computer, phone and video conference tools. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required during peak periods.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in alumni relations, development, event management or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational skills including close attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities;
- Occasional travel and night/weekend work is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience with event management.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and take the lead on certain projects.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge and/or Encompass/iModules.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a title of Staff Associate. The salary range is $43,000 - 48,000.
