Purpose Statement
The job of Communications Support Specialist is done for the purpose/s of supporting the work of the District communications office and all schools within the Francis Howell School District; training building support personnel on key
communication systems including,Constant Contact, School Messenger, Peachjar, school websites and other social media channels; assisting with coordination of community relations activities and events;updating website content;
drafting content for District newsletters and social channels; and providing support for Board meeting and identified committees. This job reports to Chief Communications and Community Relations Officer.

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling,
crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking, 15% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations.

Experience: Job related experience is required. Previous experience in journalism, communications, education, and/or public relations preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in job-related area.
Hours: 8:00 - 4:30, 260 days
Salary: PG-19 $17.13
