WHAT WE NEED Patient-care focused phlebotomist WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Patients of all ages come to the lab for blood work and when they do so, they put themselves in the hands of one of our capable phlebotomists. Our phlebotomists do more than just perform blood draws. They precisely follow procedures, carefully handle specimens, and put their patients at ease. Our phlebotomists know that they work in a place that respects each individual and values faith’s role in healing. Are you detail-oriented and thorough in your work? Do you have a pleasant, calming attitude with patients? Can you follow instructions independently and reliably? We have special place that needs your skills. WHAT YOU WILL DO Order, label, and organize patient blood draws. Prioritize patient draws. Perform venipuncture procedures carefully and accurately and verify correct patient ID. Handle specimens and sharps correctly. Explain procedure to patient and is reassuring and professional. Perform Coagu Chek testing and report results to nurse or physician as needed. Order necessary supplies; keep phlebotomy area stocked, tidy and neat at all times. Keep necessary paperwork and patient records, Coagu Chek QC and reagent records. Print daily schedule, order daily patient testing, print requisitions for reference laboratory testing. Package blood and paper work for reference laboratory pick up. WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED Exceptional organizational skills. Proficient communications skills, verbal and written.

Required High School Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
