What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN position at Franklin County Sheriff's Office?
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking full time nurses for the night shift (7pm to 7am), 3 shifts per week. Nurses are responsible for the delivery of inmate care. They work in a team environment, hand in hand with Correctional Officers to accomplish the completion of daily nursing duties. This includes but is not limited to conducting health intakes on inmates, administering to the health needs of the inmate population, maintaining adequate supplies, supervising the distribution of medication, maintaining complete and accurate records and statistical data, and assisting in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures. Experience in a highly regulated, fast moving environment, strong organizational and assessment / intake skills and attention to detail is paramount.
Excellent intake / assessment skills, and ability to work independently (once fully trained) is critical. Corrections experience is a plus. Extensive training (approximately 5 paid weeks prior to independent assignment) provided.
Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
