Machine Operator
Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality

Location: US - Oklahoma - Wilburton
Compensation: $17.92 - $19.31 / hour
Description
Responsible to cut small and large barrel stocks to length and weld the shaft as outlined in the operating instructions. Responsible to operate face and center machine to cut shafts to length and center drill both ends per operating instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
- Cuts small and large barrel stocks to length.
- Welds the extension to the barrel pieces in the welding machine.
- Performs quality checks on finished product to ensure specifications are met.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities

- Works with various gauges.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.

- Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- 6 months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).
