The Associate Director of Research at FranklinCovey’s Education Division is a pivotal role focused on applying research expertise to a variety of projects that significantly impact educators, students, and administrators. This full-time position is dynamic and fast-paced, offering the opportunity for creative application of research skills in a meaningful and purpose-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Conducting field studies, running statistical analyses, and collaborating on academic research papers, including white papers and journal articles.
- Writing articles tailored for educators, creating assessment tools, and speaking publicly are also integral parts of this role.
- Working effectively within cross-functional teams and supporting research within a diverse group of collaborators.
- Translating research into practical applications such as curriculum development, professional development programs, interventions, or similar projects is a key function.
Basic Qualifications
- A Master's degree in education, sociology, psychology, or public health.
- 10 years working in education or as an educational researcher.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Expert knowledge in areas such as education research, intervention research, teacher training, implementation science, or a related field.
- A track record of effective writing on topics related to education, mental health, or public policy, with a preference for work published in academic journals or industry reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Experience in data visualization and general graphic design skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Excellent time-management and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple projects with logical thinking and adherence to deadlines.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records and translate research findings into practical applications.
