Responsibilities

A Postdoctoral Fellow is being sought to join a research lab in the Division of Human Biology.  Research in the lab focuses on the mechanisms by which gene fusions and mRNA splicing variants lead to tumor formation, and therapeutic approaches to tumors driven by them.  The projects will be using animal models and large human patient datasets.

 

Qualifications

  • Ph.D., MD, or  MD/PhD degree in the field of molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics, biochemistry, pathology, or genome sciences is required. 
  • Experience in one of the following areas is required: genomics, gene regulation, molecular biology, virology, cell imaging or protein biochemistry and a demonstrated track record of high quality publications is highly desired. 
  • Candidates need to be highly motivated organized individuals who think independently but enjoy working as part of a dynamic, collaborative and multidisciplinary team. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
