We are seeking a full-time Legal Support Manager. This role will manage the Legal Administrative Assistants (LAAs) and other support personnel (as applicable) for a number of practice groups in our Litigation Division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise team of LAAs and other support personnel (as applicable) determine team responsibilities and schedules and approve PTO.
- Manage team’s workflow (via ticketing system, as applicable), focusing on maintaining steady workflow, resource allocation, quality, timeliness and productivity.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions in partnership with the Legal Support Director. Plus, mentor direct reports in both technical skill and professional development.
- Identify needed improvements, make adjustments, and recommend enhancements in systems and day-to-day department support processes, in partnership with the Legal Support Director.
- Provide primary input on hiring, performance, and termination for direct reports.
- Perform Legal Administrative Assistant duties as needed for backup coverage or when short-staffed.
Qualified Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years litigation based experience as an LAA or Paralegal with LAA knowledge. Expertise in standard business software applications such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams) and electronic docketing software a plus. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, skilled multi-tasker, and able to maintain a strong service orientation in a fast-paced environment. Requires ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical, project management, prioritization and organization skills is expected.
