Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Medical Director to spearhead a virtual urgent care, Remote Patient Monitoring and virtual primary care practice to service the thousands of chronically ill patients we serve daily.
Department & Position Overview:
As we continue to expand our service offerings to our patients, we are looking for an entrepreneurial clinical leader with medical group experience to join FreedomCare as the Medical Director. As a member of the leadership team, the Medical Director will strategically build the FreedomCare clinical model within our Medicare and Medicaid patient population. This role will also partner closely with the Senior Leadership, Special Projects, Operations, Finance and Technology teams. The Medical Director will lead the charge to world class patient experience and quality outcomes by leveraging technology and innovation to provide exceptional digital and at home clinical care. The Medical Director will help set up the necessary infrastructure to bill original (straight) Medicare and Medicare managed care plans (Medicare Advantage and other plans that coordinate Medicare and Medicaid).
Everyday You Will:
- Oversees design, strategy and execution of clinical offerings and programs
- Leverage telehealth technology to improve health outcomes
- Ensure quality patient care through remote patient monitoring and in-home clinical care
- Develop system for patient flow; create and implements plans for quality of care and efficiency
- Partner with the leadership team to develop key clinical metrics to drive improvement of care and programs
- Develop a program for provider oversight and peer review
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable requirements
- Develop a culture for the clinical care within the company
- Oversee the relationship with the referring providers
- Participate in the provider recruitment process
- Develop creative relationships with payors to maximize patient outcomes and provide for greater economic viability
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Experience practicing as a M.D, D.O, PA or NP from an accredited medical school and medical board certification
- Demonstrated success in leading an existing patient-centric medical group
- 5 years practicing as a clinician
- Experience in a medical leadership role
- Experience establishing clinical protocols/operations, monitoring KPIs, clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction
- Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare patient populations
- Commitment to addressing health disparities by striving to improve care, access, and service to those affected by social determinants of health
- Business savvy with the ability to deliver positive business outcomes, while continually improving clinical outcomes
- Solution-centric, creative thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude
- All-star relationship builder with excellent communication skills
- Passion for leveraging technology to transform healthcare in this country
- Ability to build necessary infrastructure to bill Straight Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans
This role is nationwide; ability to meet in the NYC area for occasional meetings a plus.
