Dental Appointment Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service: smile and greet patients
- Schedule Patient Appointments for General and Specialty departments
- Confirm Patient Appointments
- Maintain Appointment book by following up on no show or cancelled appointments
- Register new patients, re-call and returning patients for scheduled visit
- Prepare patient records
- Communicate necessary information to assist patients with their appointments
- File and organize patient records
- Assist with front office tasks as needed under the supervision of the office manager
- Answer Telephones
- Verify patient eligibility for dental insurances
- Assist patients by providing information according to company policies
- Maintain a clean patient waiting area and front desk
- Assist with administrative assignments as directed by the office manager
- Participate and support marketing initiatives for recalls and new patient growth
Qualifications:
- Must have a passion to provide excellent customer service
- Some experience using computers and phones is a plus
- Must understand dental terminology
- Must know how HMO and PPO dental insurance plans operate
- Able to verify patient eligibility for dental insurances
