Job Overview
The Warehouse Lead, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops. Ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
Job Duties
- Oversees receiving and inventory personnel in the refrigerated warehouse and ensures that the receiving and inventory management processes are followed and executed in an effective and efficient manner.
- Trains and motivates warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
- Is responsible for assigning and maintaining equipment required to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
- Monitors the unloading and / or helps unload all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
- Oversees the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives and provide general support to other departments as PPO as needed.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from accredited high school; some college desirable or equivalent work experience
- 3 years previous supervisory experience
- 2 years lift equipment experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- WMS
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with computers and ERP, WMS or other inventory management systems
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
- Must be detail-oriented
- Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution and ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management/ department heads
- Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium
- Aptitude in problem solving
- Good communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to work independently
