Housekeeping, Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Fresh Meadow Country Club. As a Housekeeper, you are part of the facilities team and responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including the Clubhouse, Team member rooms, member bathrooms, locker rooms, outside properties, and the Pool area. Responsibilities:

- Perform general cleaning duties such as dusting, counter and surface cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming

- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas

- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products

- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly

- Follow established safety procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment

- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel

- Adhere to club policies and procedures

Requirements:

- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred

- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently

- Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency

- Good physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time

- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices

- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Skills:

- Hotel housekeeping experience is a plus

- Customer service-oriented mindset

- Knowledge of custodial practices for maintaining cleanliness in different environments (residential, commercial)

- Familiarity with floor care techniques (sweeping, mopping, polishing)

- Experience in residential cleaning tasks (dusting, organizing)

- Ability to handle laundry tasks (washing, drying, folding)

- Understanding of commercial cleaning methods (window washing, carpet cleaning)

- Knowledge of housekeeping management principles (inventory control, scheduling)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.40 - $19.27 per hour
